With the distinct atmosphere of hospitals and waiting clinics, and with differences among hospital staff and the indigenous females, there is a gap of misunderstanding of cultural tradition and the BJA’s regulations.
Although greater female political representation in formal politics is a trend in Latin America—the region at present boasts three female presidents, really a handful of female defense ministers, and a considerable boost of female representation in legislatures—the Morales government ranks among the most progressive in Latin America in female political representation.
